Submit Manuscript | http://medcraveonline.com neuropsychiatric disorders is increasing on an annual basis. 2011 World Health Organization’s annual statistics has shown that approximately 14 percent of global burden has been attributed to neuropsychiatric disorders and these burdens occur due to “chronically disabling nature of depression and other common mental disorder, substance abuses, and psychosis” [3]. According to 2013 report from National Institute of Mental Health (Table 1), there are approximately 43.8 million adults (i.e. ≥ 18 years old) are suffering from any mental illnesses (AMI) [4]. A limitation of an annual report is that it does not necessarily reflect true statistics of neuropsychiatric disorders because there are people who have not been diagnosed or detected.
